

Behind the Music of Marta
Marta is an aspiring pianist and musician from Indonesia, majoring in Classical piano performance. She was under the tutelage of renowned Singaporean pianist, Clarence Lee. She is professionally trained in the classical field since the age of six, with additional background in Pop and Gospel music. Marta sees music as a way to narrate stories and convey emotions. She wishes to establish herself as an artist in her music career. Additionally, her diverse background in music allows her to have her unique musical style and interpretations.
Aside from solo performances, she has also involved in collaborative piano performances, accompaniment, and chamber music.
Notable performances including LASALLE’s very own Bel Amour: A Valentine’s Season
Piano Recital (2020), Global Transmission: A Musical Reflection (2021), and Piano Voyage VIII: A Night at the Opera (2021). Notable awards including Gold in the 2021 Ars Nova International Music Competition, Gold in 8th Asia Arts Festival (2021), Silver in 5th Overseas Performers' Festival (2021), and 3rd in La Pianista Piano Competition (2023).
Back in her home ground, Jakarta, she has spread her wings beyond the classical scene. This include participating in TRUST Orchestra as supporting pianist/keyboardist (2023), and writing and co-directing music for one of Jakarta's most prominent art communities (D'Artbeat) 's first live musical theatre (2024) after five years.
