Behind the Music of Marta

Marta is an aspiring pianist and musician from Indonesia, majoring in Classical piano performance. She was under the tutelage of renowned Singaporean pianist, Clarence Lee. She is professionally trained in the classical field since the age of six, with additional background in Pop and Gospel music. Marta sees music as a way to narrate stories and convey emotions. She wishes to establish herself as an artist in her music career. Additionally, her diverse background in music allows her to have her unique musical style and interpretations. Marta intends to further her studies in Classical music performance.

Aside from solo performances, she has also involved in collaborative piano performances, accompaniment, and chamber music.

 

Notable performances including LASALLE’s very own Bel Amour: A Valentine’s Season

Piano Recital (2020), Global Transmission: A Musical Reflection (2021), and Piano Voyage VIII: A Night at the Opera (2021). She was also one of the finalists for Ars Nova Festival Online Edition (2021). Back in her home ground, she has performed in several Yamaha Jakarta Home Concerts and Competitions ever since 2013.

Recently, she was awarded Gold at the 5th Overseas Performer's Festival 2021.

 

Behind the stage, she has also worked for Piano Voyage VIII: A Night at the Opera as the Alliance Manager and Assistant Stage Manager.
